Job summary

Optimal Care - Evergreen is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled care with a predictable overnight schedule. You will deliver nursing care and emotional support to patients and families from 5pm to 8am, seven nights on, seven nights off, within the Saginaw service area.

As an experienced RN, you’ll work autonomously, coordinate with physicians, and travel daily to patients’ homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes across Saginaw, Bay City,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled hospice care during overnight hours.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support to patients and families.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospice team for continuity of care.
• Work independently with a structured schedule from home base when applicable.
