Job summary
Optimal Home Care & Hospice, Inc. seeks a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to deliver skilled nursing care and emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours with a 7-on/7-off rotation (5pm–8am).
Travel within the service area to patients' homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is required. The ideal candidate is experienced, autonomous, and capable of rapid clinical decision-making, collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide symptom management and skilled nursing interventions.
- Deliver overnight care during 7-on/7-off night rotation (5pm–8am).
- Respond to urgent needs and support patients and families at end-of-life.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
