Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Hospice Admissions RN for the Kansas City metro (east) in a full-time role. This nurse will coordinate new patient admissions, perform comprehensive assessments, educate patients and families, and work with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a smooth transition into hospice services.

The position covers a 50-mile radius from the office with a Tue-Sat schedule (10:00 am–7:00 pm).

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license valid for practice.
• Current driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• Two years of RN experience in a clinical setting.
• One year of full-time hospice experience.
• Reliable transportation and automobile liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of new patient admissions.
• Collaborate with patient care teams to support seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding condition, needs, and care.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Outstanding hospice provider seeks a full-time Admissions RN. This nurse will coordinate new patient admissions, complete comprehensive assessments, educate patients and families, and partner closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a smooth transition into hospice services.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Missouri
• Current driver's license
• Current CPR certification
• Two years of Registered Nurse experience in a clinical care setting
• One year of full-time hospice experience
• Reliable transportation and valid automobile liability insurance
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
