Job summary

Goodwin Living in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking an Admission Nurse to manage patient admissions for Hospice. The RN will perform admission assessments, develop a Plan of Care under physician orders, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient functioning.

This role requires a Virginia RN license and at least 1 year of acute care experience (Hospice preferred). Schedule is Friday through Monday, with up to $49/hour and a $5k sign-on bonus, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to work as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• At least one year acute care experience; hospice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Presents hospice services and philosophy of care to patients and families.
• Performs admission assessments and develops a Plan of Care under physician orders.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to address patient needs and goals of care.
• Documents SOC, evaluations, discharges and maintains accurate patient records.
