Job summary

Goodwin Living is seeking an Admission Nurse to lead hospice admissions, assess patient needs, and develop plans of care under physician orders. You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely admission and effective care planning.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure, CPR, and at least 1 year of acute care or hospice experience. Evening shifts are available, with benefits supporting full-time, part-time, or PRN arrangements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to work as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in hospice or home health is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Presents hospice services and philosophy of care to patients and families.
• Performs in-person admissions assessments and determines eligibility.
• Develops a Plan of Care under physician orders for optimal function.
• Admits patients, initiates SOC, and documents care plans.
• Communicates plans of care with the inter-disciplinary team and family.
