Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting in Birmingham, MI seeks a Collaborating Physician for a new hormone and wellness clinic. You will provide clinical oversight and collaborate with a Michigan-licensed NP to support safe, evidence-based patient care and establish prescribing arrangements in line with state law.

The ideal candidate has expertise in hormone management, preventive wellness, and outpatient care, with willingness to review labs and guide treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Michigan physician license.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or related field.
• Current professional liability coverage as required.
• Experience in outpatient medicine and hormone/weight management preferred.
• Familiarity with testosterone prescribing and lab monitoring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician oversight and clinical collaboration per Michigan law.
• Collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner on patient care and treatment planning.
• Be available for consultation on complex cases and treatment questions.
• Advise on hormone therapy protocols and weight management.
• Review lab findings and assist in documentation and compliance.
