Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to support Army engineers in the field. You will operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to clear sites, level earth for runways and roadbeds, and assist in combat engineer missions.

You will gain hands-on training, earn a regular paycheck, and may qualify for tuition assistance as you learn civilian construction methods and engineering principles. A civilian career path starts here.

Qualifications

• Must be able to enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Ability to operate heavy construction equipment and perform practical construction tasks.

• Operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment.
• Level earth for runways and roadbeds, clear, excavate and dig areas.
• Move heavy materials with cranes and assist in combat engineer missions.
