Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking Horizontal Construction Engineer duties in a National Guard setting. You will operate heavy equipment to clear and prepare sites for roadways, airfields, and buildings, including leveling earth, and moving heavy materials.

You will gain training through Basic and Advanced Individual Training, with pay and benefits while serving part-time as a member of the Army National Guard.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a high school graduate or have a GED.
• Willingness to learn and train for military service.
• Comfort working outdoors and in varied terrains.

Responsibilities

• Analyze grade stakes and place them.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
• Level earth for runways and roadbeds; move materials and assist in construction tasks.
