Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to clear obstacles for roads, airfields, or buildings. You’ll operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to prepare sites and level earth for runways and roadbeds, supporting construction projects and combat engineer missions.

You will train through Basic and Advanced Individual Training, earn a regular paycheck, and qualify for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

• Cut and spread fill material with scraper
