Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to clear sites for road, airfield, or building construction. You will level earth, clear, excavate, and move materials, assisting in combat engineer missions.

You’ll train for nine weeks Basic Training and nine weeks Advanced Individual Training, earning a regular paycheck while qualifying for tuition assistance. Requires enlistment and eligibility for service.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to pass a physical exam.
• Enlistment in the Army National Guard required.
• Ages 17–35; U.S. citizenship or eligible.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze grade stakes information and place them appropriately.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
