Job summary
DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to help remove obstacles and clear sites for roads, airfields, and buildings. You will operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment, level earth for runways and roadbeds, and assist in combat engineer missions.
You will gain skills in equipment maintenance, soil type identification, and grade stake placement through real-world training.
Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to identify soil types and properly place grade stakes.
- Proven ability to level earth for runways and roadbeds.

- Analyze grade stakes and place them.
- Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
