Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate heavy equipment and clear obstacles for road, airfield, or building projects. You will level earth, excavate, load, and transport materials as part of a construction crew, with training that leads to civilian construction skills.

Through Basic and Advanced Individual Training, you will earn a paycheck while you learn and pursue tuition assistance, with opportunities to serve part-time and transition to civilian careers

Qualifications

• Must be enlistee in Army National Guard or able to enlist.
• High school diploma or GED required; 17–35 age range.
• Physically capable and able to pass a physical exam.

• Cut and spread fill material with machinery.
