The CAR Group (Norm Reeves Honda) in Cerritos, CA is seeking a Parts Counter associate to assist guests with orders, pull parts, and answer questions by phone or online. This on-site, full-time role offers an hourly wage with bonus opportunities and a welcoming team environment for automotive enthusiasts.

You will inform customers about part requirements, inventory status, and specials, while maintaining organized records and coordinating with service advisors, vendors, and the Parts Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous parts sales experience and the desire to continuously learn more.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Excellent follow up skills, frequently communicating inventory and availability of parts.
• A professional appearance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency order if necessary.
• Notify Service Advisor when special order parts are received.
• Follow-up on back-ordered parts.
• On a weekly basis, verify will-call and back-order files as well as vendor returns, and stock items not picked up.
• Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
• Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special order parts.
• Assist Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

Location: Cerritos, CA (On site) | Type: Full Time | Hourly Range:$20/hour + Bonus

As Parts Counter, you’re one of the most important team members at Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos. You’re responsible for assisting guests primarily through the shop, and even on the phone or online. You’ll provide an exceptional guest experience by pulling and filling orders, organizing inventory, keeping current on new products and product updates and communicating with our internal team, external vendors and guests in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.

Your work will ensure guests leave 100% satisfied with their Norm Reeves Honda experience. This role is a great entry point to Norm Reeves for a car enthusiast who thrives on finding solutions to problems and has some prior experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of parts sales.
