Job summary

Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Partnership Coordinator to support applicants and approved homebuyers from application through closing. You will deliver HUD-certified readiness counseling, create action plans, and coordinate all program components with the Construction and Development teams.

This role requires collaboration with the Program Manager, data tracking, and clear communication with families, volunteers, and partners.

Qualifications

Three to five years of industry-related experience in homeownership counseling, mortgage lending, or credit counseling.
Credit and mortgage experience required.
NMLS license strongly preferred; if not licensed, must obtain within 60 days of employment.
HUD Housing Counselor Certification strongly preferred; if not certified, must obtain within 60 days of employment.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide HUD-certified homebuyer readiness counseling and develop Homebuyer Readiness Action Plans.
Coordinate partnership components, education, documentation, and deadlines across programs.
Maintain databases and use CRM tools to track applicant statuses and reporting.
Collaborate with the Program Manager and Construction/Development teams to ensure compliance and timely information sharing.
Support homebuyers with documentation for closing, down payment assistance, grants, and other funding sources.
