Job summary

Habitat for Humanity KC is seeking a Homebuyer Program Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the homebuyer program. You will supervise housing counselors, oversee intake and underwriting readiness, and ensure a client-centered process from inquiry to program progression.

This role focuses on building standardized front-end pathways, coordinating with staff, and ensuring compliance with HUD housing counseling standards while supporting growth and program efficiency.

Qualifications

• HUD Housing Counseling Certification is required.
• 4+ years of experience in housing counseling, financial coaching, or mortgage services.
• Strong supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housing counseling staff and Intake Coordinator to ensure program quality.
• Oversee intake oversight, underwriting readiness, and client assignment into tracks.
• Monitor and improve workflows from intake to program progression.
• Ensure HUD housing counseling standards and policy compliance.
• Coordinate referrals and partnerships to support client transitions.
• Track metrics and prepare internal and external reports.
