Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City is seeking a Homebuyer Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the homebuyer program, supervise housing counselors, and ensure a client-centered intake and progression pathway.

The role leads intake, underwriting readiness, and client assignment into defined pathways, serving as the primary decision-maker for eligibility and progression. It emphasizes program growth and future specialization of front-end functions.

Qualifications

• HUD Housing Counseling Certification required.
• 4+ years of housing counseling, financial coaching, or mortgage services.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the homebuyer program and supervise counseling staff.
• Lead intake oversight, underwriting readiness assessments, and client assignment into defined pathways.
• Develop and refine standardized criteria for client assessment and assignment.
• Monitor pipeline flow to prevent bottlenecks and ensure timely client movement.
• Ensure all counseling activities meet HUD housing counseling standards and organizational policies.
• Coordinate with community partners to maintain high-quality referrals and service delivery.
• Track and analyze program metrics and prepare internal and external reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align education, counseling, and mortgage readiness.
