Carrington Mortgage Services in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Loss Mitigation Specialist to educate borrowers on foreclosure alternatives and work toward retaining home ownership. You will manage inbound/outbound calls, review hardship documentation, and coordinate with the team to finalize loan modifications.

The role requires mortgage servicing experience, knowledge of industry terminology, and an active NMLS license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college courses in business, accounting or finance preferred.
• One or more years' experience in collections, loss mitigation or call center in a mortgage servicing environment required.
• Full State NMLS licensing required within 6 months of entering this job.
• Knowledge of mortgage industry terminology preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level required.

Responsabilités

• Educate borrowers on loss mitigation alternatives to retain home ownership and avoid foreclosure.
• Handle inbound calls via IVR and transfers to determine borrower intent and eligibility.
• Make outbound calls to follow up on signed trial agreements and final modification documents.
• Communicate approval or denial of loss mitigation options and answer questions about accounts.
• Review hardship documentation to determine best work-out option based on financial status.
• Engage borrowers in loss mitigation liquidation options if denial occurs.
• Provide information regarding Title issues affecting modification finalization.
• Maintain attendance and fulfill essential duties and responsibilities.
• Explain options to resolve delinquency and required borrower actions and timelines.
• Notify Intake of potential document issues and misuploads.
• Be knowledgeable about the borrower’s status across the delinquency resolution process.
