Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Housing Case Manager for a nonprofit that advocates for affordable housing solutions. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity located onsite in Houston, TX.

The ideal candidate for this role is a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with prior case management experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a difference. Strong organizational skills, time management, and proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office are key to success in this role. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, works well both independently and within a team, and has a keen eye for accuracy. Social work or social services experience is preferred, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a priority!

Responsibilities
  • Manage and track housing applications, ensuring accuracy and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Maintain and organize both digital and paper records.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools to manage applicant data and track participant status.
  • Respond to department emails, phone calls, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Assist in planning and conducting informational sessions and community events.
  • Represent the organization at outreach events to promote program opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality guidelines related to participant records and sensitive information.
  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed to assist the department.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Maintain punctuality, adhere to organizational policies, and contribute to a positive, mission-driven team environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience with nonprofit housing services and experience reviewing documents related to housing services or rental assistance programs.
  • Prior case management experience with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Background in social work or social services
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to high-quality work.
Compensation and Benefits

This onsite, temp-to-hire opportunity provides a starting hourly pay of $21/hr DOE, plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. An employee retirement plan is also available!
