Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to provide specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternative care settings. This role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires an AMA-approved respiratory program, 1 year of clinical ventilator experience, and valid licensure, with on-call responsibilities and travel as part of field

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist or similar with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Assist in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients to home settings.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator units and supplies.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in company systems.
