Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will perform clinical assessments, educate families, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires respiratory licensure, CPR, and the ability to travel; compensation is based on experience and location with total rewards included.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure or as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all serviced states.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of ventilators and HME products.
• Perform clinical assessments and review patient records and care plans.
• Assist in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator use and equipment.
• Provide follow-up with physicians and referral sources about patient status.
