Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to prepare home-style, nutritious meals for children in our schools, aligning with the menu and budget while meeting state and federal requirements.

You will follow the Director's menu, ensure health and safety, maintain food inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. This role supports a Monday–Friday schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within menu and budget and prepare meals for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu ensuring USDA/licensing/health regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
