Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to join our Child Care Cook role, focusing on home-style, nutritious meals for the school’s enrolled children while aligning with menu and budget constraints.

You will follow USDA, licensing, and health department regulations, maintain inventory, and support classroom activities as needed. We offer bi-weekly or daily pay options, health insurance and education assistance, 401(k) with company match, and a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Cooking/food preparation experience for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow state/local regulations.
• Flexible hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within menu and budget, and prepare meals for children and staff.
• Follow daily menu incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
