Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Child Care Cook, Food Specialist, to prepare meals for enrolled children and support staff in a classroom environment. The role emphasizes home-style, nutritious meal planning within school menus and budgets while meeting state and federal rules.

You will follow the Director's daily menu, ensure health and safety standards, manage inventory, and assist in classrooms when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking and food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• At home in the kitchen: Create home-style, nutritional meals within menu and budget while meeting state/federal requirements.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director and comply with USDA/licensing/health dept regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
