Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to prepare nutritious, home-style meals for enrolled children and staff, while adhering to school menus, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

You will manage food inventory, follow the director-provided menu, ensure health and safety standards, and assist in classrooms as needed, contributing to a supportive learning environment for children.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare setting.
• Ability to follow state/federal food service regulations.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget.
• Follow the daily menu to meet USDA/licensing/health department requirements.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
