Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team, specializing in home medical equipment setup including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units. You will educate patients on proper use and maintenance of prescribed equipment.

Responsibilities include equipment installation, testing, and ensuring safe operation, plus reviewing patient information and maintaining accurate records in line with accreditation standards. You may be on-call after hours and weekends based on center needs.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must be certified, registered, or licensed as applicable by state or national board.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
