Job summary

Lincare Holdings in Portland, OR, is hiring a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to set up home medical equipment including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, and to educate patients on proper use. You will also train families and monitor device performance in patients' homes.

Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and staying current with respiratory techniques. The role may require after-hours and weekend on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• CRTs/RRTs eligible to apply in applicable states.
• Other clinicians may qualify depending on state law.
• Must maintain licensure and adhere to governing boards.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required; mileage reimbursed.
• Strong communication and computer literacy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, oxygen).
• Inspect and adjust equipment; ensure safe and efficient function.
• Review prescriptions and patient data to determine treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain complete patient records per accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; schedule varies by center.
