Job summary

Lincare is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. This role involves setting up home medical equipment including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other related devices, and educating patients on proper usage.

You will visit patients across assigned territory, inspect and adjust equipment for safety, and maintain thorough records in line with accreditation standards. On-call after hours and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state/national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records fully and in accordance with accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
