Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role includes setting up home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP machines, ventilators, and oxygen concentrators, and training patients on proper usage. You will also maintain records and stay current with respiratory care knowledge.

On-call work may be required after hours and weekends. Qualified candidates are CRTs/RRTs licensed and must be licensed/registered as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state or national board governing clinical practice.
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to educate and train patients on prescribed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe functioning.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• On-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency varies by center).
