Job summary

Lincare seeks a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing homecare team. You will set up ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, oxygen concentrators, and related equipment, and educate patients on proper usage.

You will inspect devices, review prescriptions, and maintain records while staying current with pulmonary techniques. Some after-hours on-call may apply to ensure patient coverage and quality care.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must maintain licensure in the applicable state or nationally.
• Must have reliable vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
