AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other approved locations. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence.

The role is primarily field-based with daily home visits, on-call rotation, and adherence to HIPAA and company policies. A high school diploma, customer-service experience, and a valid driver’s license are required, with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment in accordance with policies and safety standards.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
