Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients at home, clinics, and field settings. You will deliver, set up, and service respiratory and home medical equipment while educating patients and caregivers to ensure safety and independence.

The role involves field visits, maintaining equipment, and collaboration with care teams to support high-quality patient outcomes. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with experience in healthcare delivery

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in field or healthcare setting.
• Field-based, home visits, or healthcare delivery experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems during patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per safety standards.
• Complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote services to referral sources when appropriate.
