Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up and support respiratory and home medical equipment, educating patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence in home health care.

This field-based role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong customer service. You will perform assessments, maintain equipment, and support reimbursement while upholding HIPAA and safety standards across assigned territories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year healthcare technician/related experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Senior level requires 2 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment in patient homes.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with company policies.
