Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patient homes and clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, comfort, and independence, and perform routine maintenance.

The role is primarily field-based with daily home visits and on-call coverage in the assigned area. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergency conditions.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation timely to support patient care.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
