Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and participate in ongoing care and documentation.

This role is field-based and requires travel within the assigned area. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and a valid driver's license, with prior patient-facing roles

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One (1) year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two (2) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment; respond to issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
