Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patient locations. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and maintain equipment with a focus on quality care.

This role emphasizes field-based service with home visits, on-going patient assessments, and compliance with HIPAA and company policies. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products and regulations.
• Conduct patient assessments and follow-up care to support ongoing needs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies as needed.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment at patient locations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
