Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients at home, clinics, or other sites. You will deliver, set up, and service respiratory and home medical equipment, while educating patients and caregivers for safe and independent use.

The role requires a high school diploma, healthcare or field service experience, and a valid driver’s license. This is a field-based, full-time position with on-site duties and on-call potential in assigned areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience for senior level, including 1 year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Conduct patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
