Job summary

Apria Healthcare is seeking a Delivery Technician to deliver durable medical equipment to patients in their homes in the Tallahassee area. The role includes patient instruction on equipment, vehicle loading/unloading, and completing daily paperwork.

A valid driver’s license, DOT standards familiarity, and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. Typical duties also involve responding to emergency delivery calls, maintaining patient profiles, and performing routine vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least one year related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment and other approved equipment/services.
• Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
• Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
