Job summary

Apria Healthcare delivers durable medical equipment to patients at home, ensuring comfort and continuity of care. The Delivery Technician loads, transports and unloads equipment, may instruct patients on proper use of respiratory and other devices, and handles paperwork and logs.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license and a three-year driving history. DOT and regulatory training are required.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least one year related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at hire time.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.
• Successful completion of Apria Healthcare’s Driver Training Program.
• Must meet job-related requirements to comply with DOT, FDA and accrediting standards.

Responsibilities

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory and durable medical equipment.
• Loads and unloads equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls during regular hours and on-call.
• Completes daily delivery logs and paperwork; maintains patient profiles.
• Notifies supervisor of unsafe home conditions or hazards.
