Job summary

SSM Health at Home Fond du Lac Camelot seeks a Medical Equipment Delivery Technician to deliver durable medical equipment to patients' homes and educate them on proper usage. This role supports home-based care and aims to improve comfort, safety and quality of life for patients.

The position is 40 hours per week, day shift, with on-call rotation approximately once per week, in the Durable Medical Equipment department. Training and safety are emphasized. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 10 years of work experience required.
• One year of experience in a similar role.
• Must provide proof of motor vehicle liability insurance and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicle and transports equipment to and from patient homes and assembles as needed.
• Provides instruction/education on safe equipment use to patients/caregivers.
• Obtains signatures on delivery documents and reviews written documentation with patients/caregivers.
• Collects payments from patients for coinsurance, copays, and self-pay items.
• Assists with cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation expectations.
• May assist with warehouse duties.
• Maintains alertness and safe working practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
