Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and maintain equipment across patient homes and clinical settings.

The role requires a high school diploma, patient-focused experience, and a valid driver’s license. Field-based work includes on-site visits with compliance training and on-call duties as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and care of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment in accordance with policies.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Promote company services to referral sources where appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance training.
