Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Home Medical Equipment Delivery Technician to deliver and assemble equipment, instruct patients, and perform follow-up maintenance. The role requires driving Mercyhealth vehicles, verifying insurance information, and completing all documentation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include on-call after hours, safe handling of equipment weighing up to 75 lbs, and maintaining inventory across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 6–12 months experience in a customer service-based environment.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers home medical equipment to patients.
• Instructs patients on proper use of equipment.
• Reviews and explains required documentation at each patient contact.
• Follows Mercyhealth policies and completes required documentation.
• Assesses equipment suitability and safety in the patient’s home.
• Maintains and inspects equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
