Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Home Lending Assistant to be the primary contact for customers throughout the loan lifecycle, supporting Home Lending Advisors with knowledge of home lending products and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with lenders, processing centers, and realtors to facilitate submissions and closings, manage a loan pipeline, and contribute to strong customer service and sales results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate.
• A minimum of four years’ work experience in mortgage loan processing.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office or similar).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Ability to demonstrate control, flexibility and maintain quality and high productivity.
• Preferred: marketing and advertising experience.

Responsibilities

• Take initial inquiries for prequalification, take complete applications, and request documentation.
• Discuss products and pricing with customers in the absence of the Home Lending Advisor.
• Review complex files to identify potential problems and propose solutions.
• Manage pipeline and provide status updates to Home Lending Advisors and borrowers.
• Coordinate submissions and closings with Realtors and builders.
• Assist in staffing Realtor/builder open houses and trade shows.
• Set annual loan-level targets with Home Lending Advisors and support growth.
