Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage provides home lending services through Citibank branches and centralized service centers. The Home Lending Officer role originating high quality residential real estate loans engages with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners to drive mortgage sales and relationships.

The position requires 2–5 years of mortgage experience, a registered mortgage loan originator, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant experience
• 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required
• Residential Mortgage experience required
• Established book of business
• Proven product sales capability is required
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong relationship development and management skills
• Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation, lending needs and objectives.
• Collect and analyze information about the customer's financial situation, goals, income, assets, debts, and credit history.
• Analyze financial information to assess loan eligibility for a lending solution.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions to meet customer objectives.
• Advise customers about risks and benefits of lending alternatives.
• Promote Citi’s brand and lending services to real estate agents and referrals.
• Work with partners to ensure timely loan processing and closing.
