Job summary

LUX Infusion is seeking a dedicated Part-Time / Per Diem Home Infusion RN to administer IV therapies in patients' homes or infusion suites in Middletown, CT. You will assess, monitor, educate, and coordinate care to ensure safe, effective therapies outside traditional settings.

Ideal candidates have an RN license in MA, 2+ years of RN experience, and IV/central line care proficiency. Travel to patient homes is required, with flexible part-time scheduling and strong clinical support.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.
• IV certification with experience in central line care and management.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to patient homes.
• Experience with patient documentation and care coordination.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and discontinue intravenous therapies in patient homes or infusion suite settings.
• Insert and manage IV access including peripheral lines, PICC lines, ports, and midlines.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples as ordered.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs, and reviews of systems.
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, line care, and symptom monitoring.
• Teach patients and caregivers how to safely perform and monitor home infusion when appropriate.
• Coordinate visit scheduling and communicate visit outcomes with clinical and operations teams.
• Accurately document all patient-related care, medications administered, and patient responses.
• Communicate concerns or reportable events promptly to physicians and internal clinical leadership.
• Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
