Advanced Infusion Care, a division of AIS Healthcare, is the leading provider of Home Infusion Therapy. We are committed to advancing quality and improving lives by providing quality products and services that enhance the entire care experience.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Intake Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role involves providing patient access to medications and therapies by contacting insurance companies, verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, and managing authorizations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service, medical billing and coding, benefits verification, or healthcare

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  1. Entering patient demographic and insurance data into profiles
  2. Reviewing incoming prescriptions and attaching them to patient profiles
  3. Contacting patients or physicians for missing information
  4. Conducting benefit investigations and evaluating pharmacy and medical plans
  5. Obtaining documentation for prior authorization submissions
  6. Following up on authorizations until approval
  7. Communicating with patients, physicians, and departments about benefits and authorization status
  8. Handling denials, appeals, and peer-to-peer discussions
  9. Updating departments on intake process status
  10. Explaining coverage and payment responsibilities to patients and families
  11. Assisting patients with financial hardship paperwork and co-pay cards
  12. Documenting all interactions in patient records
  13. Identifying in-network providers and triaging referrals
  14. Providing leadership and training to team members
  15. Participating in meetings and process improvement initiatives
  16. Training staff on software and workflow processes
  17. Serving as SME for new applications and upgrades
  18. Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
  19. Meeting quality and productivity standards
  20. Performing other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience:

  • Home Infusion Coordination experience
  • Effective communication skills

  • Knowledge of authorization processes and systems
  • Leadership and training skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
