Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist in Vermont. You will meet customers, discuss project needs, and help them achieve home improvement goals. You’ll become the product expert, informing customers about specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

Based in a busy store environment, you’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, delivering personalized service and solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs, answering questions, and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, coordinate with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department via on-the-job training and coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
