Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to be a welcoming first contact for customers in Ridgeland, MS. You’ll help customers select products and translate project ideas into actionable purchases, guiding them through options and financing.

You’ll work across departments (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more) in a fast-paced store environment, delivering expert service and solutions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lowe’s supports sales-related licensure/registration as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and highlighting Lowe’s products.
• Serve as main contact for customers and vendors; handle estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups.
• Support external accounts and outside sales in the Pro Department when applicable.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock and replacements.
• Assist with pricing reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support checkout functions and departmental communications.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
