Job summary

Lowe's in Baton Rouge is seeking a Customer Service Associate to warmly welcome customers and help them find the right home improvement products and services. You will interact with shoppers throughout the day, assist with locating products, and ensure customer needs are met.

Daily duties vary by department, including stocking, processing orders, and guiding customers through checkout. Benefits are offered including health insurance and time for learning and growth.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer or similar device.
• 6 months experience with common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform duties as required.
• Able to minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
