Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, discuss project needs, and help transform ideas into home improvement projects. You’ll become the product expert, informing customers about specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

Training and growth opportunities are available in a fast-paced store environment. You will work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience; or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education unmet.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support and fund this requirement).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, scheduling, and follow-up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors and stores to find merchandise and stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
