Job summary

Lowe's in Alabama is seeking a Sales Specialist to meet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to Lowe's products and services. You will become the product expert, sharing specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close a sale.

You’ll work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, or Windows & Walls, and you will train fellow associates while providing excellent customer service and meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or Lowe’s retail experience required (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic and to stand/sit for extended periods.
• Lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with help as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as department point of contact, handle estimates, installer visits, orders and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory with vendors and stores to maintain stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
